The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will provide financial, clerical and administrative services in the Finance Office and to backup and support multiple roles. Ensuring all financial matters are handled responsibly and legally. This involves managing budgets, preparing reports, and processing transactions.

About you
This position would suit someone with commitment to the ethos, Christian values, and teachings of the College. The suitable candidate will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications and demonstratable competence and experience relevant to the key responsibilities.
- Demonstrated competence and confidence in using a personal computer and relevant software packages eg Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of general office and administrative procedures and equipment.
- Knowledge and prior use of the College Administration package (TASS) would be an advantage.
- Working with Children accreditation (Blue Card) or ability to obtain this accreditation.
- Demonstrated capacity for self-management, collaborative decision-making, being a member of a large team, and the ability to accept, promote and manage change.
- Process EFTPOS and cash payments eg. for Student ID replacement cards, or casual sales.
- Assist students, parents or staff with finance queries.
- Organise floats and petty cash, counting, banking and reporting on fundraising cash.
- Ensure the safety of money in the College safe.
- Banking of cash & cheques.
- Proven ability to work unsupervised, meet deadlines, set priorities, be well organised and able to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated good level of English written and oral.
- Communication and interpersonal skills when relating to staff, students, and the wider College Community.
