We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our expanding team and provide support to the Management Accountant.

Qualifications & experience
The ideal candidate will:
- have accounting / bookkeeping skills and experience in key tasks relevant to the role is required.
- have strong analytical, problem solving and organisation skills with a commitment to accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
- have initiative with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently by prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
- have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Advance Excel skills preferred)
- have effective communication (verbal and written) at all levels both internally and externally.
- have a positive attitude and ability to build strong working relationships
- have a strong ability to learn and willingness to develop an in depth knowledge of financial aspects of aged care
The successful applicant will
- have a current NDIS Worker Screening or be willing to obtain
- pass a pre-employment medical
- provide evidence of current Influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations.
Tasks & responsibilities
The Finance Officer will join our team and provide support to the Management Accountant, tasks and responsibilities would include
- Receipting of transactions
- Invoicing
- Month end processes including journals and reporting
- Preparation of BAS
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and Funding
- Month end debtors review and following up outstanding accounts
- Assisting in the completion of Quarterly and Annual Reports
- Assisting with the external audit process including liaising with auditors if required
- Asset Register maintenance
- Assisting with preparation of Budgets
- Documenting and maintaining procedures
- Participate in project work and continuous improvement initiatives as required
Training will be provided for the use of financial management software and other software specific to aged care.
