As a GTO, PEER is the largest employer of apprentices within the building and construction industry in SA, with over 460 apprentices and trainees.About YouThe successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be customer focused, team orientated, have attention to detail, be systematic and structured and be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.The RoleThe Payroll Officer ‘s (PO) primary responsibility is to provide accurate and timely processing of all Apprentice / Trainee payroll on a weekly basis. The (PO) will ensure that all information uploaded into the Payroll System is 100% accurate and that this information is highly confidential.The (PO) will also assist in range of payroll aligned functions including Host Employer invoicing, processing of Government allowances and subsidies, portable long service lodgements and Work Cover claims processing for all apprentices. - Minimum of 3 years payroll experience within a systemised payroll environment
- Numerical and reconciling ability and data entry skills
- Organisational and time management abilities
- Understanding of payroll legislations and processes
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Strong inter-personal skills
- Experience in Astute payroll system
- Experience in working in a quality or standards framework
- Direct GTO experience
