A NSW government organisation is looking for a Finance Officer. Great hybrid arrangements! SAP, Excel, Data Analysis, Accounting Background preferable

This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 6 month contract paying $40 - $45 p/h + Super. This role is located in Parramatta with Wednesdays in the office and the rest of the week hybrid.

About the Role

• Use SAP software for financial tasks.
• Create and analyze financial reports.
• Manage general ledger and accounts.
• Handle invoices, payments, and receivables.
• Keep track of assets and costs.
• Help with budgeting and planning.
• Ensure compliance with taxes and regulations.

About You

• Will be communicating with a variety of stakeholders
• Experience with SAP
• Knowledge of transactional banking and the ability to apply it in an ERP system eg SAP
• Must have an understanding of the flow through of information from different interfaces into SAP
• Must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Banking and bank reconciliation skills ideal
• Ability to work with and analyse large volumes of data
• Liaise and resolve banking issues for internal and external stakeholders
• Has good problem solving skills in a financial / banking environment
• Excellent & effective communication skills (oral and written) including group email box management.
• Open to experience candidates OR
• Open to new graduates with a degree in accounting
