About the Role:YMAC is currently seeking a full time (75 hours per fortnight) Finance Officer to join the team in our Perth office. The primary aim of this role is to provide efficient, accurate and timely support in all financial and administrative activities, in accordance with YMAC policies and procedures.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- ensuring invoices are accurately and timely raised;
- maintaining and reconciling debtor systems to the general ledger;
- monitoring debtors and ensuring that financial transactions are properly updated and recorded;
- completing end of month activities related to accounts receivable;
- assisting in preparation of financial statements, invoices, proposals, etc., as required;
- processing creditor invoices from time to time;
- supporting other staff members in the finance department;
- providing administrative support to the Accountant; and
- resolving internal and external accounts queries.
You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Finance Officer, or similar, in a commercial and/or not for profit environment. Studying towards an accounting qualification is beneficial.
Successful applicants will be motivated team players with excellent attention to detail and adherence to accounting standards. The ability to work under pressure, self-manage and work within a team environment is a must.

Selection Criteria- Minimum of 3 years experience in Finance Officer role or similar.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and adherence to accounting standards.
- Ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution.
- Demonstrated experience with a computerised financial accounting system (highly beneficial if MYOB or SunSystems).
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures, including month-end deliverables; ATO (GST, FBT & STP) and relevant taxation legislation.
