Our well known Not for profit client based in Belmont are seeking an experienced Grants Officer to join their team in Belmont for a 2 - 3 month temp assignment with potential to extend.

The Role
This position will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities, preparing grant proposals, and managing the grant application process from start to finish.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the company's objectives and priorities.
- Develop, review and submit grant proposals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to grant guidelines and requirements.
- Manage the entire grant lifecycle, including application submission, tracking, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
- Cultivate relationships with grant-making organizations, government agencies, and other funding entities to enhance grant opportunities for the company.
- Work closely with finance and program teams to develop accurate budgets and financial projections for grant proposals.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to grantors, detailing project progress, outcomes, and financial expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements, regulations, and reporting deadlines.
- Maintain organized records of all grant-related documents, including applications, agreements, reports, and correspondence.
- Stay updated on industry trends, funding opportunities, and best practices in grants management.
The successful candidates must have:
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible, positive, and collaborative approach
- Outstanding interpersonal, personal presentation, oral and written communication skills, and an ability to appropriately deal with confidentiality and privacy issues associated with development and investor relations activities
- Well versed in database management & writing sponsorship proposals
- Demonstrate high levels of success in writing and submitting government and non-government grant
- Proven experience in relationship building and communication with various grant providers
- Sound knowledge of fundraising standards, principles, policies and procedures
- Demonstrated understanding of the fundraising process within a non-profit organisation, and/or charitable organisations
