The Role
This 7-month contract is related to AP/AR for the Asian region of the global business. Its highly likely to extend or go permanent due to the size and growing needs of the business.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:-
- Handle daily multi-countries invoice processing payments and settlements for external parties and for Asia offices
- Review employees’ expense claims and arrange reimbursement payments
- Perform daily cash management duties, including recording of bank deposits and posting to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Communicate with business practices for outstanding accounts receivables and support collections when necessary
- Assist in providing supporting docs for audit and SOX purposes
- Run reports from accounting and supporting systems as per request and handle inquiries from business units
- Being involved in ad-hoc tasks assigned and provide supports to the Finance department when necessary
About You
You possess demonstrated experience in a transactional finance role, with the ability to build relationships across the business. In addition you will bring excellent organisational skills and time management, very high attention to detail and demonstrate initiative in all areas of work and strong verbal and written communication skills,
Skills and Experience
- Strong sense of commitment, self-motivated and well organised
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and willing to learn
- AP/AR in a multicurrency environment is a plus, as is Mandarin speaking skills (the role is based in Brisbane, supporting Hong Kong, Taiwan and China so chinese language skills are only a nice to have - definitely not essential)
