Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL1 Finance Officer. This position is located in their busy ACT or WFH Aus wide offices for an initial 12-month contract.
About the Position
As a public service professional in this administrative, policy and financial role, this role is for a policy, operational or Finance Officer who is looking for varied work in a project in a regulatory setting. Your role will provide advice to senior executives and stakeholders on cost recovery policy, manage internal and stakeholder reporting cycles including reports and talking points and provide leadership through the cost recovery cycles.
Duties
- Manage project finances including branch and group reporting.
- Lead policy development for project’s cost recovery for regulatory services.
- Contribute to project outcomes as a multi-disciplinary team member.
- Undertake research, consult internally and with other government departments on modern cost recovery arrangements.
- Provide clear financial analysis and draft accurate, timely and consistent financial advice in the areas of administrative and regulatory law to support decision making.
- Develop detailed processes for estimating and explaining cost recovery processes.
- Assist in the conduct of information, training and briefing sessions and develop training materials for clients and staff to contribute to the work of the Department
- Must have current Baseline or higher
- Must have Finance experience.
- Role can be done anywhere in Australia, Aus wide position.
- 2 potential 6 months extensions available.
