Finance Officer

The Uniting Church in the City is a Not-for-Profit based in the heart of the CBD encompassing three congregations and a number of community outreach programs.  We are seeking to recruit a part-time Finance Officer to our centrally located Perth office. 

About This Role

Your role is key to the office, responsible for the of the day-to-day management of the accounting function.  Including, but not limited to accounts receivable, payable, and bank reconciliations.

The role is part-time 0.6 FTE, offering attractive remuneration for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• The accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, and day-to-day management of the accounts payable, receivable and banking functions.
• Assisting the Finance Manager with reporting, budgeting, and statutory reporting processes.

What We Are Looking For:

• An enthusiastic, dynamic person with 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience with MYOB AccountRight and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of our team.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary qualification in Accounting or Book-keeping (or working towards).

Must Have:

• Ability to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia and support the vision and values of the Uniting Church in the City.
• Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for).
