AddressPorts North is responsible for the development and management of port facilities vital to the economic growth of Cairns and regional centres in Far North Queensland. The Corporation has extensive property, marina, tourism and cargo facilities in Cairns and its regional ports.
Reporting to the General Manager Finance you will provide support to the Finance Team’s accounts receivable, accounts payable, accounting & financial reporting areas including administrative and ad hoc support as requested. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to finance staff, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accountant and other administration areas as required and during periods of leave.
- Issue invoices to customers for all charges.
- Collate and process invoices received from suppliers.
- Timely and accurate processing of all incoming payments and receipting.
- Respond to all customer enquiries.
- Bank account reconciliation.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reporting, journal processing, taxation returns (GST and FBT) and reconciliation of general ledger.
- Collate, investigate and respond to all customer account queries.
- Assist Finance staff in their day-to-day activities as requested.
The successful applicant will be a team player with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and have the necessary background and skills to perform the various tasks in a competent and highly professional manner.
Job specific training will be provided.
