Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a relevant field, and experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
- Registered to prepare and submit BAS returns on behalf of the business.
- Experience working with accounting software, in particular MYOB.
- High level proficiency in I.T and accounting and payroll products with the ability to use or quickly learn a range of software and web-based products.
- Familiarity with the SCHADS Award and basic HR/ER.
- Experience working with multiple funding streams.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Banking and receipting
- Accounts payable/receivable
- End to end payroll functions, including leave, termination payments, salary sacrifice, workers compensation calculations and payments
- Financial reporting, including monthly reports to Board and management, AGFARS, AFARS & OFARS and other grant acquittals
- General duties, such as the preparation and submission of BAS returns and Superannuation information to the ATO
- Propose and facilitate financial investment strategies
- HR and administration support as required

The fine print…
Essential Requirements:
- Current valid Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People clearance
- National Police Check (less than 12 months old)
- Current Tasmanian driver's licence
- COVID vaccination and a minimum of two boosters
