Finance Officer, Planning and Reporting
* Salary: $92,332 – $104,762 plus superannuation
* Ongoing position
* Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
* Usual work location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)
The Role
The Finance Officer reports to the Senior Finance Officer, ACFE Planning and Reporting team. The Finance Officer supports financial management activities for the ACFE Board and AHEW branch budgets, and financial delegations in line with Victorian Government financial management standards.
The Finance Officer will coordinate financial management activities using a number of financial systems (such as Oracle) and will understand and implement processes required for the execution of government-based funding arrangements and agreements.
The Team
The position of Finance Officer, Planning and Reporting forms a part of the ACFE, Higher Education and Workforce (AHEW) Branch in the Skills and Employment Group.
ACFE, Higher Education and Workforce (AHEW) branch creates practical linkages with and between pre-accredited learning, vocational and higher education, and pathways to workforce.
The branch seeks to strengthen and connect ACFE Board strategy and deliver governance responsibilities in relation to universities and other entities in the wider portfolio. It maximises engagement with the Australian Government and higher education providers to advocate and influence in support of Victorian Government economic and social priorities. This contributes to workforce skills response activities that align pre-accredited training delivery to vocational and higher education and with workforce solutions.
About you
To be successful in this role, the candidate will have experience in financial accounting and reporting, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex issues to senior decision makers. They will have a solutions-focused attitude and be able to work collaboratively and effective with key stakeholders and team members.
