About the role
As the Finance Officer reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work withing the broader finance team, managing the day-to-day financial processes of a self-storage portfolio
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform AP, AR, bank account reconciliations, GL reconciliations and budgeting processes
- Month end accounting
- Prepare, support and manage timely balance sheet reconciliations and related reviews
- Assistance with ongoing financial and management reporting and other compliance requirements
- Identify areas for financial/operational process improvement and implement key changes to improve efficiencies and accuracy
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Prior experience in finance, preferably within the Self-Storage industry
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial processes
- Highly motivated self-starter and able to work under time pressure with limited supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Yardi Voyager and/or Storman is highly beneficial
