Our offices at Walyalup Civic Centre support this way of working by providing a variety of spaces, settings and technology to help staff thrive. 5pm The role predominantly assists in processing of all accounts receivable and banking task. Furthermore, ensure understanding and ability to back fill the other two roles within the Revenue Team, being the Accounts Receivable Officer and the Banking Officer. This will ensure continuity in service and improve the customer service experience of the Revenue Team for internal and external customers. The Financial Services team is looking to recruit a skilled Finance Officer with strong experience in general administrative finance experience. This position will also assist with financial accounting task duties that includes general audit enquiries for the team. Key responsibilities include:General administrative duties as directed including prepare purchasing orders.Ensure sufficient understanding to be able to back fill the Banking and Accounts Receivable roles within the Revenue Team for administrative tasks.Keep control of the Grants register and reconcile on a monthly basis.Keep control of the reconciliation of tenant recoverable.Assist with audit enquiries.Coordinate and liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding all insurance matters for the City.Selection Criteria - EssentialSound verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.Experience in previous Finance Officer role.High computer literacy – windows navigation, Microsoft Office suite.Attention to detail.Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work under pressure.Relevant tertiary qualifications or the equivalent level of qualifications and experience.Desirable - Experience and knowledge of Local Government in similar role.
