What you'll do:
As a Finance Operations Analyst based in Sydney CBD, you'll be at the heart of our client's operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include analysing financial data, preparing reports, developing accounting systems, conducting studies of accounting errors, reviewing financial statements with senior management, budget preparation and auditing contracts. You'll have the opportunity to make significant contributions by making recommendations and ensuring compliance with policies. - You will be responsible for analysing financial data and preparing reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organisation.
- You will be tasked with developing, implementing, modifying, and documenting record keeping and accounting systems.
- Your role will involve conducting studies of accounting errors and recommending corrective actions to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- You will be expected to review financial statements with senior management to highlight issues and make recommendations.
- You will play a key role in budget preparation and implementation.
- You will also be involved in auditing contracts, orders, and vouchers, while preparing reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Finance Operations Analyst role brings a wealth of experience in Finance Operations or a similar field. You have an excellent understanding of financial regulations and accounting processes. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to scrutinise data meticulously. You are comfortable interacting with various departments within the organisation thanks to your strong interpersonal skills. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiar with databases, you are well-equipped to handle the technical aspects of the role. A degree in Finance, Economics or a related field would further enhance your suitability for this position.
