Our Opportunity
This newly created position reports directly to our Group Financial Controller and is a key addition to the design, evaluation and implementation of payment processing solutions and drive continuous improvements to meet business objectives and inform strategic direction.
You will be responsible for managing and administering all facets of Accounts Payable, Leasing Finance and Imports Finance areas across our Group and leading these teams.
With you Accounts Payable and/or shared services management experience, you will be working in collaboration with each team and the business to implement process improvements and best practice processes in AP and expense management areas.
Based in our Cremorne head office, this is an exciting and important new position for our Finance team and wider business with the opportunity to make an immediate impact.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead the Accounts Payable, Leasing Finance and Imports Finance teams
Ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment processing and management of all invoices relating to AP, Leasing and Imports areas
Manage month end processes and general ledger reconciliations across AP, Leasing and Imports
Identify and lead continuous process improvements across invoice/payment automation in these functions
In collaboration with Group Financial Controller, develop 12-month roadmap for process improvements across these functions
Build relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, landlords, suppliers
The successful candidate will have:
Previous management experience across Accounts Payable function or shared services
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Commerce * Either CA or CPA qualified or working towards CA or CPA qualification preferred
- Demonstrated successful experience in implementing process improvements in AP
- Team Leadership and coaching experience
- Commercial acumen
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
