The Opportunity: We offer an exciting opportunity for a Finance Operations Manager to refine, enhance and manage our operational framework on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mix of financial knowledge and operational expertise, with a keen eye for identifying and implementing process improvements. This role is perfect for someone who seeks to optimize operations, takes initiative with a hands-on approach to administrative and operational tasks, and ensures the firm's infrastructure supports scalable growth without sacrificing the quality of our client service. A foundational background in accounting is crucial, though the primary responsibilities will lean towards operational excellence and problem solving.
Core Responsibilities:
- Actively review, assess, and refine financial and operational processes, identifying and implementing improvements for increased efficiency and scalability.
- Lead collaboration efforts with both in-house teams and external resources to ensure the smooth implementation of operational process improvements.
- Engage in administrative and operational tasks, addressing any inefficiencies directly to maintain seamless day-to-day operations.
- Handle financial operations, including bookkeeping and reporting, with tools such as Xero or MYOB, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Solid experience in finance and operations within a financial services, family office, or private wealth advisory environment.
- A strong foundation in accounting principles, with proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, MYOB).
- Demonstrated capability in identifying process improvements and executing operational enhancements.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities and project management skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
