The Position
An exciting opportunity exists within our Finance team for a Finance Systems Accountant. The successful applicant will have a solid understanding of TechnologyOne with experience in a similar role.
The successful applicant will provide the functional systems support for all aspects of the finance system (TechnologyOne). Enhancing and promoting a culture that extracts the best from our staff and be a champion of change. Ensuring quality, safety, continuous improvement and challenging costs and expenditure are the cornerstones of our business. Be strategic in thinking to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.
Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Functional systems administration of TechnologyOne
- Data extraction and report building
- Understanding and remaining well informed of all accounting processes within the business
- Recommendation and implementation of process changes where appropriate
- Business requirements gathering for future phases of Technology One development
- Ownership of the systems functional architecture
- Training of end users
- Key Finance lead in understanding the business systems and how maximum efficiencies can be achieved
- Prepare quality and meaningful documentation where required

- Develop and document comprehensive systems administration processes
- Understand current accounting processes to ensure the system meets the business needs

To be successful:
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in finance, business or commerce
- Project management qualification or experience (desirable)
Knowledge:
- Knowledge & Experience administering TechnologyOne systems
Skills:
- Strong aptitude for application (technological) problem solving
- Proven ability to collate and analyse complex data
- Demonstrate a willingness to work as a team member and to lead by example
- Experience:
- Experience administering TechnologyOne systems
- Experience hosting requirements gathering exercises (desirable)
- Experience running formal training sessions for groups of people (desirable)
