Due to an internal promotion, the Financial Accountant joins a small, close-knit team reporting into the Finance Manager. This fast paced and varied role that will develop both your accounting and stakeholder engagement skills. The RoleThe Accountant position will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the finance function. Responsibilities include: Assisting with financial reporting and analysisAssisting with the annual budgeting processParticipation in the annual external AuditGeneral ledger maintenance and reconciliationsMonthly reconciliation of key P&L and balance sheet accountsPreparation of all taxation compliance (Payroll Tax, GST, FBT)Accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsSupport with fortnightly payroll and associated staff recordsAssistance with the development of Internal ControlsAssisting staff to understand and comply with Internal Controls and systems.Assist with maintaining Fixed Assets Registers Your ProfileYou will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting and be working towards completion of your CA/CPA studies. You will have a minimum of three years' Accounting experience in an accounting related role and have strong interpersonal skills.
