Our company has been a national industry leader over the past 30 years and is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our supportive finance team in the role of Financial Accountant.
The position will be based out of the Port Melbourne office 5 days per week as we believe face to face interaction results in faster outcomes!
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Assistant Accountant with the AP & AR function
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Ensure the EOM process is finished accurately and in a timely manner
- Monthly/Quarterly lodgement of BAS
- Preparation of monthly financial reports
- Heavily involved in the annual audit (30 June year end)
- Support and back-up to payroll
- Assist with maintaining Fixed Asset Registers
- Assist with the preparation and lodgement of monthly payroll tax
- Assist Financial Controller & CFO with adhoc duties
What you will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and completed or close to completing CPA
- 3+ years relevant experience within a finance team
- Outstanding communication skills
- Experience with SAP and Xero an advantage
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
