Based in their Melbourne office and working closely with the Managing Director and broader leadership team, the Financial Controller will be responsible for providing financial management and oversight to the business and its entities while establishing and developing relevant financial controls.Managing a small team, you will be a hands-on leader, working closely to support, develop and streamline the finance operations, but also connecting with relevant external stakeholders to the business. You will have a thorough understanding of the business finances and levers, and be able to share and translate financial trends across the business. You will ensure a culture of financial best practices to provide financial guidance and leadership to both existing and new business opportunities and projects as they develop.The Person
The ideal candidate will possess the following key skills and experience;
- Knowledge or a connection working within an agribusiness or farming related organisation.
- Experience in a similar role (5+ years) and relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance/Business.
- Exposure to investment management, including structuring, risk analysis, fund establishment and financial requirements.
- Ability to review and respond to industry specific financial trends and information.
- Ability to review, develop and streamlines business systems and tools.
- Experience and willingness to work within a dynamic and growing business.
- Hands on leadership style and exceptional communication skills.
