As a Financial Accountant, your role will involve gathering and monitoring financial data to provide accurate, timely, and valuable information for effective decision-making and problem-solving. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with accounting standards and continuously improve our financial processes. What does the Financial Accountant role look like?
- Ownership of monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Entity consolidation and monthly reporting.
- Preparing and posting journals.
- Maintain the lease register.
- Preparation of BAS returns.
- Managing the Corporate Credit Card system.
- Compilation of required financial reports.
- Support with the annual audit process.
- Maintain our expenditure approval policy.
- Manage the company’s motor vehicle fleet.
- Annual Fringe Benefit tax return.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
What we’re looking for:
- Exceptional financial acumen including a CA/CPA qualification and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Highly effective skills with Microsoft 365 programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Powerpoint and PowerBI).
- Strong collaborator with adaptable, clear, effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a passion for accuracy, resulting in high-quality work outcomes.
- Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines.
