This is an exciting opportunity to apply and develop your project management and leadership skills to oversee the delivery of an important work program made up of a number of systems related projects which will underpin the Department’s financial management practices with contemporary, robust technology solutions.

You will also have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and resolve complex issues to achieve results. You will be able to provide examples that demonstrate your high-level people and output management skills, as well as your ability to build relationships and undertake key communication tasks.
Your success requires the ability to lead policy research and analysis on complex issues; define and develop recommendations; clearly articulate difficult technical issues to stakeholders; and demonstrate leadership and initiative in a team environment.

About the Branch
As part of the Budget and Finance Division, the Government and Finance Branch develops and communicates financial management policy and practices throughout the public sector; maintains the financial records of the Public Account. The branch also provides advice on whole‑of‑government superannuation policy and the provision of budgeting and financial management support and manages State financial assets and borrowing activities.

Highly Desirable RequirementsCompletion of relevant tertiary or industry qualifications, and/or professional affiliation.
