Financial Accountant

Situated in Western Sydney, we enjoy a distinctive position in the residential building market, as our product is in exceedingly high demand. In light of the ongoing expansion of the market, we are actively looking for a skilled Financial Accountant to join our exceptionally dynamic team.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for daily reporting, account reconciliation, and ensure adherence to accounting standards. 

The Role:

• Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Timely execution of end-of-month processing and closing procedures.
• Completion of monthly financial and management reports 
• Verification of monthly reconciliations
• Reconciling accounts including the clearing accounts and solve any discrepancy that may have occurred.
• Management of End of Year Reporting, and Taxation tasks.
• Maintain fixed assets register and depreciation calculations.
• Overseeing the preparation and submission of payroll tax returns.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Conduct periodic audits to maintain data integrity and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. 
• Stay up to date with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.

About You:

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
• Good understanding of accounting principles & procedures
• Advanced MS Excel, and PowerPoint skills, enabling the creation and delivery of detailed reports. 
• Demonstrate a strong sense of business acumen and the ability to think strategically.
• Exhibit the capability to effectively engage and confidently present ideas and reports to various stakeholders within the organisation, including the Managing Director, Commercial Manager, and different teams.
• Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools would be advantageous.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
