We are excited to be recruiting a Financial Accountant position located in Mulgrave. Initially this is a 12 month contract with the potential to move into a permanent role.
The Role
As the Financial Accountant you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and your responsibilities will include:
Your duties will include:
- Prepare AR dashboard, ageing and provision calculations
- Month-end book closing, reporting and year-end process
- Tax and regulatory compliance - Declarations, BAS, Payroll tax, GST etc.
- Expense accounting & reporting
- Review of accruals and prepayments to ensure correct timing of revenue and cost recognition.
- AR management, credit-hold & collection follow-up
- Balance Sheet management including GL account reconciliations
- Support annual and quarterly business budgeting and forecasting
Your Profile
- Qualifications - CA/CPA (working towards)
- Experience - Proven experience providing in similar Financial Accounting positions
- Organisational Skills - Ability to prioritise and be deadline driven
- Communication skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Motivation - A proactive go-getter attitude
- Attention to Detail - High levels of accuracy and keen eye for detail
- Systems - Experience working with integrated financial systems (SAP preferred)
