So, what’s the job?
As part of the finance team:
- You'll prepare month-end journals.
- You’ll perform ledger consolidation and revaluation.
- You'll prepare balance sheet account reconciliations in line with company policy.
- You'll perform bank and trust account reconciliations.
- You'll maintain relevant schedules to support journals.
- You'll reconcile and maintain intergroup balances in line with company policy.
- You'll maintain the fixed asset register and process relevant journals for depreciation.
- You'll prepare and review payroll journal entries and related memos.
- You'll implement and maintain adequate and effective controls to mitigate errors.
- You'll work closely with operations to understand business requirements.
- You'll prepare required schedules for statutory audit.
- You'll handle ad-hoc reporting requirements as they come up.
A bit about you:
- You'll have 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- You'll preferably have experience with Sun and/or SAP systems.
- You'll possess intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
- You'll demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- You'll have the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- You'll exhibit good communication skills.
- You'll hold a tertiary degree and preferably be CA/CPA qualified.
