As we approach Year End, the demand for technical accountants intensifies, reflecting the crucial role they play in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting. Technical accountants are sought after for their specialised expertise in navigating complex accounting standards and regulations, particularly during the year-end close process.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of Year End financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Month-End Close: Support month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Audit Preparation: Collaborate with the audit team to ensure all documentation and supporting schedules are prepared for the Year End audit.
- Financial Analysis: Provide analysis and insights into financial performance, trends, and variances to budget.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with ad hoc financial projects and tasks as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CA / CPA Qualified.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in financial accounting or external audit, ideally within larger corporates.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
