Financial Analyst

This domestically renowned company are on the lookout for an experienced and tech savvy Finance Analyst to come onboard. As a Finance Analyst, you will be an integral part of the team, providing crucial support. You will work in close collaboration with the Finance Manager and engage the wider finance team to facilitate financial processes and deliverables.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing the month-end financial processes as well as providing monthly performance reports on operating costs, Capex, balance sheet, and cash flow items. Additionally, you will support the budgeting and forecasting processes and serve as a financial business partner to several cost centre managers.

Responsibilities:

· Month-End Accounting & Performance Reporting

· Perform month-end close process to a high standard and in a timely and efficient manner, including identifying and processing monthly accruals and journals.

· Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end close, as well as the quarterly balance sheet review process

· Prepare (and communicate) the business unit management performance reporting

· Provide insights on business performance against strategy through variance analysis and commentary

· Identify ongoing risks & opportunities that need to be managed

· Play key support role and financial partner to respective cost centre managers and their teams.

· Promote a cost-conscious and cash-conscious culture within the business unit, and support delivery of cost saving or working capital initiatives

· Play key role in delivering the forecasting process from collection of inputs, navigation of interdependencies and preparation of outputs to stakeholder buy-in

· Assist with the review and challenge of budgets and forecasts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow

· Provide support for external audit issues as required

Qualifications:

· CA/CPA/ACA/MBA qualified

· Advanced user of ERP systems

· High quality written communication skills including exposure to board papers

· Strong analytical and conceptual skills

· Ability to present complex data/concepts in a clear and easily understood manner

· Build strong stakeholder relationships
