What to Expect:
As the Financial Analyst, you will play an integral role in shaping strategic decisions and driving organisational performance through your work. You will be responsible for budgeting, financial modeling, and conducting financial planning and analysis to drive business performance and strategic initiatives.
Area of responsibilities include:
- Supporting forecasting and budgeting processes and reporting requirements for senior management.
- Developing effective financial and commercial strategies aligned with market trends and business goals.
- Developing and managing various analytical and financial models, processes, and systems to assess opportunities and enhance performance.
- Analysing and interpreting data/information, translating it into actionable strategies and recommendations across corporate and operational environments.
You will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for numbers, an analytical mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement. Ideally, you will possess strong financial and commercial acumen, coupled with a deep understanding of the factors and drivers influencing productivity and performance within mining environments.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, accounting, or a related discipline. CA, CFA, or CPA is ideal. '
- 3+ years experience in financial analysis, budgeting and modelling, preferably in the mining or natural resources sector.
- Experience with Excel and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Pronto, Oracle).
- Strong communication skills (written/verbal), easy to work with, capable of asking the right questions, and conveying insights to drive strategic results.
