The Corporate Branch is responsible for delivering services that support the operation of the CER, including ensuring our compliance with legislation, policy and guidelines. These services include communication and media support, financial management, performance and parliamentary reporting, procurement, human resource and facilities management.
About the SectionThe Corporate Communication Section is new and will support the CER’s outcomes by promoting our culture, employee value proposition, managing our web services and our contact centre. The section currently encompasses four (4) teams:
- data and web management
- content design
- internal communications, conferences and events, and
- the contact centre.
The section works closely with the Strategic Communication Section to deliver cohesive, considered and impactful communications for the agency, focussed on user experience and engagement. The section also works closely with our internal stakeholders, including the senior executive, to provide communication advice and support delivery of agency outcomes.
Who are we looking forWe are looking for an experienced, passionate and committed professional to fill an APS Level 6 position in our Data and Web Management team.
The successful candidate will have:
- Well-developed skills in managing content and data in Drupal CMS – ideally Drupal 9+.
- Demonstrated experience creating, understanding and interpreting reports from various vendors including current analytics gathering tools, analytics presentation tools, and monitoring tools for performance, accessibility and content quality.
- Familiarity with the usage and management of mass email communication tools.
- Experience writing and managing process documentation, and teaching staff how to follow processes.
- Some experience with Drupal theme editing or any other backend CSS, JS, HTML or PHP work.
- Proven ability to test and troubleshoot issues and processes relating to the management of content on a website.
- Understanding of and experience in implementing and maintaining WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed time management with the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects within changing priorities.
- Ability to think strategically and identify ways in which the team and/or section can build on its goals and objectives.
- Experience working collaboratively within a team environment with a demonstrated ability to lead projects and make decisions independently.
- Ability to supervise and support the development of a small team.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the preparation and publishing of content, or the management of the content publishing space for a government website.
- a degree or diploma, or post graduate diploma from an Australian tertiary institution or a comparable overseas qualification, with a major in a related field such as web design or management will be highly regarded.
