As a key member of their finance team, you'll contribute to maintaining the financial integrity and success of their luxury properties.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic Financial Controller who will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities crucial to their operations. From daily reconciliations to monthly reporting and annual budgeting, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of the business.
Working as part of a small close-knit team, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Managing the Month End close, creation of journals to prepare P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations and end of month reporting analysis
- Reporting to owners on all financial aspects of the business
- Reconciling and maintaining capex register
- Cash flow projections
- Preparation of forecasts and budgets
- Weekly payroll processing
- Statutory reporting including the preparation of BAS
- Supervision of Finance Officer, ensuring tasks are completed on a daily/weekly basis
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar role (hospitality experience will be beneficial)
- CA/CPA qualifications are preferable
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards
- Attention to detail with the ability to work independently to achieve deadlines
- Strong collaborator with clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn and develop your accounting skills
