As our business is growing, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will be responsible for supporting the business in day to day administrative and financial duties consisting of but not limited to:
- Leading the preparation and presentation of monthly financial results and rolling forecast through Program Performance Reviews, Project Progress Cost Reports and Contract Status Reports & Performance Reviews.
- Compilation and submission of program related financial reporting.
- Budget preparation and including mid- and long-term business planning.
- Project accounting and reporting.
- Analysis and interpretation of the operating results and business performance.
- Providing support to MD and maintaining effective working relationships with other Senior Managers.
- Cashflow forecasting.
- Managing records and receipts.
- Preparing balance sheets.
- Processing invoices.
- Record account payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is experienced in an accounting background.
- Proven work experience (3+ years) as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
- Experience using MYOB Advanced ERP is essential.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of accounting regulations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Sharp time management skills.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
- BSc degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Professional qualification as a CFA/CPA is considered a plus.
- Have a good knowledge of reconciling, BAS, GST and accounts payable / receivable.
- Be able to work autonomously, without supervision.
