Chadoak are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who can help us support the rapid business growth and consolidate financial services across the group.
Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, your primary responsibility is leading the Finance function, and providing support for all operating entities within the Group. This will include the monthly financial and management reporting, annual budgeting and forecasting, and cash management for the major projects and entities. Intercompany accounting, ASIC, Tax and Audit management and banking as well as WIP accounting are all essential to your remit.
You will lead the consolidation of various accounting systems as well as implementation of a new payroll system, and the transition of accounting support from an external firm, to be managed in-house. Success in this role will be determined by your ability to lead and develop the finance team, and in providing effective scalable financial services and strategic support for the CEO and Owners.

The Successful Applicant
Our client is looking for an experienced Financial Controller, with strong leadership capability complimenting a broad accounting skillset. Ideally you will have an engineering or construction background with an understanding of WIP reporting. Tertiary and Professional Accounting qualifications are mandatory, and you will have worked closely with senior management, or as part of a senior leadership team.
You will be a team player with the versatility to work in a privately-owned project-based environment. The ability to work under pressure, and with an eye for detail is important. This role will be driving change across people, systems and processes to secure favourable outcomes for the business, so an empathetic people leader, with energy and enthusiasm is desired.
