This is the Family Office for the owners of an established and highly innovative group of companies across consulting, human resources, and technology. It is a small office, but it is a dynamic and a challenging busy work environment that will require a professional, proactive, quick thinker to work collaboratively and join a close knit and hardworking team.
About the opportunity:
You will report directly to the Founders in managing and maintaining all the accounting, administration, and operations of the Family entities, as well as oversight and compliance for the three business entities. This is genuinely an environment where no two days will be the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering and providing accurate and timely financial information to the family.
- Manage complex company and personal Tax and Insurance matters.
- Family business P&L and Balance Sheet management.
- Co-ordination of the quarterly, half yearly and annual audit of the group, and production of audit work papers for Audit Partners.
- Preparation of the family’s tax returns.
- Manage all family Insurance and property matters.
- Go-to person for internal and external stakeholders regarding family matters.
- Manage multiple tasks and Ad hoc projects for the family as required.
- Holding professional qualifications (CA or CPA).
- Extensive experience in a broad and diverse role, ideally in a Family Office environment, with exposure to UK Accounting Standards.
- Skills and knowledge in financial and management reporting, auditing, payroll, and taxation.
- Outstanding capability to build relationships and act a true business partner across both financial and non-financial areas.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong team player who can work autonomously when required.
- Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
