Due to the retirement of their current Financial Controller, you will enjoy either a full-time role or the flexibility of a 0.8 position, you will have access to great resources and state-of-the-art technology. As the Financial Controller, you will lead the day-to-day financial direction of the business. This is an opportunity for an individual who seeks to take a challenge head-on and has strong accounting and finance skills coupled with a pragmatic and hands-on approach. This unique opportunity will see you join an established organisation experiencing growth, and where you will be responsible for driving and managing all accounting and finance processes and developing best practice solutions which will stand the test of time, with oversight of a small team.
As a valuable part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for offering advice and guidance to key stakeholders, as well as keeping the Directors apprised of the current financial position of the business through;
- Reliable and accurate financial reporting with supporting explanations, compliance, risk and recommendations
- Monitoring of financial controls & practices, and compliance
- Executing the daily accounting functions of the business
- Leadership reports, budgets, forecasting and ad-hoc reporting.
You will have leadership experience in finance, compliance and risk in a professional services environment, and enjoy supporting stakeholders to achieve great outcomes. A tertiary qualification is desirable and working knowledge of database management ideally MultiArray and Xero software will be highly regarded.
This role offers a great degree of autonomy, it is expected that you will take ownership of the day-to-day requirements and any projects allocated by the Directors.
