Financial Controller

Our client is a new digital revolution technology company working in the global sporting industry. They are looking to recruit an ambitious CA qualified Financial Controller who is looking for a role where they can make a real impact from day one.

We are looking for a Financial Controller who is passionate about our client and digital revolution across sporting codes. You will have an entrepreneurial spirit that can work closely with the CEO and Managing Director to help make key business decisions based on the financial analysis you have provided.  
   
The role is very hands on, we are looking for an analytical and commercial individual who will also add value to the business above and beyond the BAU. This is a very exciting role within a great business and offers genuine long term opportunity with the potential for equity participation for the right candidate.   
 
To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated to take and drive ownership of the full finance function, someone who has the determination and passion to adapt to the changes of a fast paced and evolving business model.  
   
Requirements:  

• Passion for sport and start up entrepreneurial business models  
• Qualified (CA or CPA)  
• Champion improvement of commercial operations and processes across the group and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency  
• Demonstrated financial and management accounting experience   
• Extensive financial modelling and analytical skills  
• Experience in digital technology and ecommerce applications  
• Knowledge in subscription business models would be preferred  
• Leadership and coordination for all aspects of the finance operations   
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and presentation to Board  
• Delivering high quality financial budgets and monthly variance reporting  
• Preparation of annual financial statements and liaison with Tax Accountant  
• Preparation and lodgement of payroll tax returns, superannuation and BAS  
• Cash flow management  

This is a hybrid part time 2 day per week role. The company’s offices are located in the Lower Northern Beaches.
