We are launching x10 e-Mobility products in 2024 and are looking to grow the team to support this.
Position purpose
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will play a crucial role in the finance team and be responsible for end-to-end financial control, with a strong focus on financial processes and cost management. Your role will be pivotal in driving the success of the organisation, by anticipating and implementing continual processes/systems as well developing a finance culture to ensure efficiency and controls are maximised, enabling the business to realise its strong growth trajectory.
Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Financial:
- Develop Month end timetable and ensure month end closed accordingly with preparation of monthly management reports.
- Managing the Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounting finance team and their deliverables.
- Ensure high levels of compliance and accuracy across all reporting adhering to relevant Accounting standards and legislation.
- Develop cashflow forecasting and subsequently report in a timely manner
- Preparation of statutory and special purpose accounts.
- Ensure taxation compliance with local and internaitonal tax authorities
Leadership within the business:
- Develop a productive and cohesive finance team interface with business operations and management.
- Support CFO in the roll out of and implementation of a new ERP system (Microsoft Business Central): providing leadership and training to non-finance colleagues in relation to the ERP and establishing processes and workflows that will set the company for success.
- Ensure best inventory management practises are utilised within the businses leveraging the ERP.
Capabilities and experience
- CA/CPA qualified
- Ability to adapt in a fast growth environment and lead through change.
- Can do attitude, with strong attention to detail
- High degree of self-motivation, as well as prepared to be ‘hand-on’ in early stage of start-up growth.
- In depth knowledge of accounting processes, and various tax and regulatory compliance obligations
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Strong time management and organisational capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence tools (Power BI)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central highly regarded
