Financial Controller - Financial Markets

Leading Financial Markets firm seeks Financial Controller on a permanent basis in their Sydney head office.

Your ability to prepare general purpose financial statement that will be consumed by the Board, Senior Management, Investors and others will be highly valued. It will be essential that you are across the detail and ready to explain or handle any queries that come your way in an effective manner!
  
You will be responsible for;  

· Corporate accounting
· ASX reporting
· Regulatory and financial reporting
· Budget and forecasts preparation
· Development of finance department internal control policies and procedures
· Financial risk management
· Financial Statement preparation
-Managing a small team; provide leadership & strategic direction

As the successful applicant, you will possess;
 
· Proven working experience as a Financial Controller in Financial Markets (essential)
· Qualified Chartered Accountant
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
· Experience with creating financial statements (ASX reporting requirements)
· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
· Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
· Ability to adapt to a start up environment
-Full Australian working rights and fluent English skills
