YOUR OPPORTUNITY
You will play a crucial role in shaping the financial management of our client's project delivery operation, encompassing the maintenance of precise financial records, providing support to the Project Delivery team, and emphasising continuous improvement in both financial and operational realms to guarantee timely and budgeted project delivery.
Your key accountabilities:
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Manage end-of-month closeout, producing final Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheet.
- Conduct cashflow reporting and management for financial stability.
Project Financial Administration and Oversight:
- Provide financial administration support for ongoing projects.
- Develop and implement improved costing processes for projects.
- Assist the Project Delivery team in analysing costings and preparing comprehensive reports.
- Oversee project costs and forecast costs, comparing them to allocated budgets.
Team Support and Training:
- Offer training and support for the team in creating purchase orders, fostering efficient processes.
Invoicing and Receivables Management:
- Invoice projects at appropriate milestones, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
- Manage accounts receivable for projects, ensuring financial stability.
Query Resolution and Accounts Payable:
- Investigate and promptly resolve queries from Project Managers and the Finance Team.
- Process accounts payable bills for projects, maintaining financial accuracy.
Payroll and Administrative Support:
- Provide payroll support as needed, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Handle administrative tasks, including debtor follow-up and correspondence management.
ABOUT YOU
You’re an experienced financial professional who is proactive in fostering collaborative relationships, skilled in various financial tasks such as report preparation, performance tracking, cost analysis, and team support.
You will need to demonstrate:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Cert IV in Accounting (or equivalent) and a proven track record in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing end-of-month closeout, producing final Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheets.
- Demonstrated ability in conducting cashflow reporting and management for financial stability.
- Previous experience providing financial administration support for ongoing projects.
- Track record of developing and implementing improved costing processes for projects.
- Experience in assisting the Project Delivery team with cost analysis and preparing comprehensive reports.
- Previous involvement in overseeing project costs and forecasting expenditures, comparing them to allocated budgets.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with advanced expertise specifically in Excel, including proficiency in Outlook and Word, and general tech-savvy ability.
