We're on the search for our new Financial Controller to join our dynamic and passionate finance team. This individual will play a pivotal role in keeping our financial information accurate, complete and be a strong team member and leader. This role will manage two direct reports and be responsible for a team of five.

Key Responsibilities
The Financial Controller will oversee activities to ensure the following outcomes are achieved:
- responsibility of day to day operations for our Australia based finance team
- preparation of periodic financial statements and business-specific financial reports
- calculation and posting of accruals and prepayments, maintenance of schedules
- responsibility for accurate and timely submission of monthly financial and required non-financial information
- collaboratively support the furnishing of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts
- coordinate internal audit activities and lead external audit activities
- analysis of business results and budget variances
- account for Foreign Exchange Contracts
- calculate and lodge the annual FBT return and state-based payroll taxes.
- provide information for the calculation of monthly BAS.
- Uphold GUD accounting policies and participate in the development, implementation and upholding of BWI accounting policies and work practices.
Knowledge, Experience & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, CPA/CA or equivalent
- Solid technical knowledge of Accounting Standards and supporting work practices
- Mentor and coaching background to team members
- Ability to develop and implement new and improved accounting procedures
- Competent in on-boarding new businesses into the accounting function
- Experienced working within an accounting team
- Leadership & Business partnering skills
- Advanced MS office skills
