The Gig
With exciting plans for growth over the coming years for their Property Development Business, an exciting opportunity has become available for a highly professional, analytical, detail orientated Finance Manager with exceptional communication skills to play a senior role within the business.
Your primary goal is simple – Using your considered approach, experience in the Property Development industry and your people leadership experience, you will play an important role by implementing the strategy of the finance function delivering on operational, growth, and enterprise goals.
Based in Sydney CBD, and reporting to the Managing Director, you will be trusted with:
- Coordinating and managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory obligations
- Leading and mentoring a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative work culture
- Preparing detailed financial analyses for new projects, utilising tools like Estate Master and assessing key metrics
- Aligning business cash flow with operational needs, providing concise executive summaries to the Managing Director and stakeholders
- Handling the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet items in collaboration with the finance team
- Conducting general ledger and bank account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
- Managing intercompany reconciliations and streamline invoicing processes for efficiency
- Ensuring strict compliance with entity tax requirements, covering various aspects
- Preparing, negotiating, monitoring, and reporting on project budgets for effective financial management
- Liaising with senior banking representatives, non-bank financiers, and external consultants for comprehensive collaboration
- Providing accurate and timely executive reports regularly, using both written and in-person communication
- Performing additional ad hoc duties as required by the Managing Director, showcasing adaptability and dedication to overall team success
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- At least Accumulate 5 years experience in finance or accounting, including managerial roles
- Working professional experience local and international financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws
- Prior Property Development experience
