About the Role
The role plays an important part in the ability of the organisation to realise its financial objectives. The incumbent has a strong knowledge of financial systems and skills in financial accounting and management and current software programs (XERO, Employment Hero and Up works).
GGSA is modern and innovative and we are well set up to support roles from being carried at home base
Essential Criteria
The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications (Commerce or Accounting) with CA/CPA in place or pending
- 3-5 years’ demonstrated experience
- Experience in preparation of budgets, forecasting and reporting processes
- A comprehensive knowledge of XERO, Employment Hero and Up woks and practical application
- Experience in investigating various transactions and ability to correct in accounting system
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards, accounts, auditing and internal controls
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with key stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and in providing accurate reports
- Proven ability to meet tight timeframes and the capacity to manage workflows and work on multiple projects at the same time
- Advanced skills and experience with relevant software packages, including Microsoft Office Excel
- Ability to investigate, analyse and report.
- Evidence of a current valid manual drivers licence
- Possess a Blue Card (or if successful provide evidence of obtaining/applying prior to commencement)
- Evidence of a successfully completed Police Check

- Experience working with grant funding agreements
- Experience with or exposure to accounting issues in the not-for-profit sector
