Description
As a leader within the Global FPA team, you will ensure effective operating cost control, including weekly, monthly and annual comparisons to budget, providing recommendations on opportunities to drive efficiency's to support profitable growth. Leading a small team, you will oversee the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts combined with strategic planning to improve pipeline and forecasting accuracy, while identifying opportunities for growth. Furthermore, you will provide guidance and control over major bids and contracts and assist client tenders and negotiations. Working across a diverse range of mining customers, you will assist in developing pricing strategies and perform profitability analysis of services to ensure decisions are made to ensure customer profitability.
You will also assist the Business Line Leaders in identifying potential acquisitions, assessing suitability and alignment with business strategy. Furthermore, you will work across various teams to ensure effective management of capital expenditure, including reviewing capex business cases and providing analysis on country portfolio reviews. An important deliverable for this role is effective business partnering and performance management, including working closely with Business Line Leaders, advising on financial and analysis matters.
Profile
A qualified finance professional, you will demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills, combined with a proven track record of presenting financial, planning and analysis insight and recommendations to senior management. Ideally, you will have previous experience within a diverse global business or within mining / mining services, using Oracle and Cognos.
