About the role:
Reporting to the Pricing and Financial Planning Specialist, this role is part of a collaborative team that plays a central role in supporting the strategic financial decisions and financial sustainability of Unitywater. By applying your commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of financial decisions including investment proposals and business cases, pricing, and financial management.
As our region continues to experience strong population growth, a key responsibility of this role will be to develop financial models to support investment in growth infrastructure and their associated funding frameworks, such as devising pricing for infrastructure agreements. You will also contribute to our enterprise long-term Financial Planning process (including corporate model and budget), by providing insightful analysis and advice to ensure we meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders, and achieve our strategic ambitions.
About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
- To be successful you will have demonstrated skills in investment modelling and evaluation, and Financial Planning and analysis.
- Advanced level financial modelling skills, such as Discounted Cashflow (DCF) and Net Present Value (NPV) analysis.
- Possession of an Accounting/Commerce Degree from a recognised tertiary institution. Post graduate studies in Finance would also be highly regarded.
- Membership of an appropriate professional organisation (e.g., CPA/CA qualified).
- Relationship building and influence – the ability to build long term relationships with stakeholders and peers.
- Written and verbal communication – the ability to effectively present complex information clearly in written or verbal form.
