TRILITY is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Adelaide head office Finance team. This is a full time, permanent role.
The role
As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the preparation and reporting of accounting and financial data for the TRILITY group.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts for TRILITY Group and other subsidiaries and Joint Ventures.
- Preparation of corporation tax returns.
- Preparation of FBT returns.
- Provision of financial support for TRILITY Group reporting.
- Consolidation of financial forecasts for the Group.
- Further financial analysis as required to support the Financial Reporting Manager.
What we are looking for
- A chartered accountant qualification or equivalent and 3 years accounting and financial experience in a commercial environment
- Sound understanding of and experience in the principles and practices of finance, accounting and control
- High competency with excel and ability to work with large volume of financial data
- Experience in production of financial models ideally with background in business planning and project financial forecasts
- Current knowledge and application of reporting requirements and accounting standards
- Understanding of taxation regulations
- Enthusiastic and dedicated, with high levels of initiative and drive
- Possess a high level of maturity, with the ability to make decisions with minimal direction and guidance
- Be able to work in a team environment and be a team player
- Possess good judgement in relation to commercial and financial issues
- An effective communicator with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours during month end and other times when required and to cover other roles within a small team
- Be able to effectively manage multiple tasks at the same time
