About the role:
We are currently seeking a part-time Financial Resilience Worker to provide financial support and assistance to adults experiencing personal, family, relationship and/or financial issues. Successful applicants will have sound experience in case management and client support, with a track record in the delivery of professional support, sensitive to the needs of a range of clients.
What will a typical day look like?
- Provide support, information and referrals to assist individuals with the management of their financial resources including household budgets.
- Provide face-to-face support and problem-solving to assist people to take control of their finances and empower clients to self-advocate.
- Provide community education activities on financial literacy.
- Respond to clients who require urgent assistance and have complex needs.
- Utilise brokerage funds to provide financial and material assistance to clients experiencing immediate financial crisis.
- Commitment to prevent future financial crisis by referring clients to appropriate financial and social support services.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination
- Certificate IV qualifications in Community Services
- Experience in a similar position
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
- Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
