The role:
This opportunity is to manage the Vendor program, which includes:
- Being proactive in securing new vendor submissions from the public, commercial and government
- Processing online submissions from the company website
- Conducting research into the value and attributes of all submissions
- Meeting vendors to assess, value and authenticate the goods
- Liaising with other team members and independent experts as needed
- Preparation of proposals and contracts
- Vendor liaison, pre and post auction
- Maintaining ongoing relationships with current vendors
- Working with the marketing department in promoting the program
Skills:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive professional with the following:
- Jewellery background and industry experience
- Self-starter
- Ability to influence and negotiate as well as ability to build strong working relationships
- Fine jewellery and gemstone knowledge is required
- Swiss watch and designer Luxury Goods knowledge is advantageous
- Strong valuation skills gained through practical experience
- An appreciation of current market values
- Understanding of the auction process or willingness to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sales focus
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical skills
