About this role
Do you aspire to shape the safety and functionality of diverse projects through meticulous design of fire protection and hydraulic systems? Arup, a unique organization owned and run by its employees, invites you to join as a Fire & Hydraulics Engineer, where you will play a pivotal part in developing innovative solutions for fire suppression, detection, and hydraulic infrastructure. You will get to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the entire project lifecycle-from concept development to detailed design and construction oversight.
What will I do?
- Lead the meticulous design and implementation of fire protection and hydraulic systems for diverse projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to construction oversight.
- Develop innovative solutions for fire suppression, detection, and hydraulic infrastructure.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of individual work, taking accountability for defined parts of design projects.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate plumbing design into building plans, ensuring compliance with plumbing codes and health regulations.
What will I bring?
- Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a similar area.
- Relevant MEP Building Services experience within a consulting business environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Hydraulic/Fire Sprinkler/Suppression design software.
- Proven ability to uphold high standards in work, meticulously reviewing all aspects to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to tackle challenges strategically, identify root causes, and explore innovative solutions with a critical mindset.
