This important role in the Environmental Compliance Service will assist in managing Council’s Building Fire Safety Program and Annual Fire Safety Statement database as a key member of the regulatory team. They will contribute to excellent customer service delivery and will communicate with the broader community on a range of building Fire Safety matters.
Council’s Compliance and Enforcement Policy will guide you in the application of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and associated regulations to ensure levels of building Fire Safety Compliance are maintained throughout the local government area.
The ideal candidate will be customer focused with strong communication and conflict resolution skills, and an analytical thinker with a refined attention to detail. Their existing qualifications and / or experience will provide an excellent base for a specialisation in this niche regulatory role.
This is a part time position of 21 hours per week, with days to be agreed upon with the preferred applicant as part of the offer process.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $46,456 gross per annum.
+ 11% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
