(Visit our First Nations programs page for more information) https://www.waternsw.com.au/about-us/our-business/first-nations-programs Location: Parramatta or Warragamba Salary: Starting from 112,042 + 11% Super Tenure: Permanent, Full Time What we are looking for: A strong desire to contribute your skills and expertise to our business Someone who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent / identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by the community in which they were born, has lived or currently lives A commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and value Appropriate tertiary qualifications in education, environmental science/ management, social sciences or related field or equivalent experience. Excellent understanding of best practice Community Education and interpretation principles and behaviour change theory. Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate complex technical issues in a clear and effective way, for a diverse range of audiences and accessibility requirements. Experience in leading the development, delivery and evaluation of multi-faceted best practice Community Education programs. Experience in developing interpretive resources including signage, installations, displays, exhibitions or face to face experiences in an educative environment. Experience in managing projects and contract service providers within time and budgetary constraints. What you will work on: Develop, deliver and evaluate high quality Community Education programs for target audiences, incorporating organisational messages and using best practice education principles. Develop interpretive resources that communicate complex messages in a clear and effective way, are accessible to a diverse range of audiences and learning styles and respond to stakeholder interests and organisational needs. Develop and maintain effective internal and external partnerships with learning/ cultural institutions and water focused organisations, ensuring WaterNSW Community Education projects meet the expectations of stakeholders, reflect organisational objectives and are integrated with priority WaterNSW projects. Ensure Community Education programs focused on increasing awareness, understanding, skills or influencing behaviours are integrated with other behaviour change tools such as enforcement and incentives as required and provide advice to internal stakeholders Who is WaterNSW? When people think of essential human services, water supply is one of the first things that come to mind - and that’s where WaterNSW comes in. We are NSW’s primary bulk water supplier, river operator and comprehensive provider for licensing, water trades and water information.
